Edward Elric

Personal cosplay props of Edward Elric from the series Fullmetal Alchemist by Hiroshi Arakawa.

The arm is made off of a duct tape form of my arm that I covered with long spandex glove and stuffed with newspaper to maintain shape and weight. The "automail" or armor is 2mm craft foam, googly eyes, hot glue, elastic, primer, and paint. The leg had a similar treatment with the addition of Wonderflex as the main foot foundation because I needed to walk on it. I was able to wear the arm and leg, outside of being a detached prop. I maintained full use of my arm and leg, although fine motor functions like using a phone and opening a wallet were impossible.
